Top Lawyers of Delaware County 2022

Thomas A. Musi, Jr., Richard C. Daubenberger, and Lucas A. Clark, IV, have been voted 2022 “Top Lawyers” of Delaware County. Thomas A. Musi, Jr. has been recognized for being a “Top Lawyer” in Personal Injury as well as Real Estate and Commercial Litigation. Richard C. Daubenberger earned the title of “Top Lawyer” in Criminal Law, and Lucas A. Clark, IV has been named a “Top Lawyer” in Family Law.

“Top Lawyer” is known to be one of the oldest and most respected peer review publications that exists within the legal profession. The invitation to cast votes is given exclusively to lawyers who were recognized in the previous addition as well as allowing for an opportunity to acknowledge attorneys who have stood out among their peers in a year that was filled with enormous obstacles and constant uncertainty. The year of 2020 presented an unusual amount of change within the legal industry due to the pandemic being present. There was a multitude of employment shifts and movement among firms and locales within the area of Delaware County. Voting for “Top Lawyers” of 2022 began in February of 2021 when attorneys who were awarded by “Top Lawyers” from the previous year were invited to offer their opinion on who deserves recognition in the upcoming edition. “Top Lawyers” uses an algorithm to curate a selection of both nominated and previously recognized lawyers who practice within the same specialty and locale as the voter. The ballots to vote are created distinctively for each voter based on a series of internal data points. A sample question that voting attorneys receive is something along the lines of “If you were unable to take a case yourself, how likely would you be to refer it to this lawyer?”

Thomas A. Musi, Jr., through his hard work and dedication to his clients, has earned himself the title of “Top Lawyer” in Personal Injury, as well as being recognized for his work in Real Estate and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Musi has a long-standing history of practicing law. He received his law degree from Widener University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Law Journal. Mr. Musi is a proud member of the state bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as playing an active role in the Delaware County Bar Association, Family Law Committee, and the Juvenile Truancy Task Force. He prides himself on his vast courtroom experience where he has been involved with both minor and complex litigation. Richard C. Daubenberger has been voted “Top Lawyer” in Criminal Law. Mr. Daubenberger’s area of practice focuses in criminal and juvenile defense, where he specializes in drug cases and DUIs. He received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Criminal Law Society, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Mr. Daubenberger worked as an Assistant District Attorney from 1997-2001 before he began his practice in criminal defense. He is a member of the state bar of Pennsylvania, as well as the Delaware County Bar Association. Mr. Daubenberger has appeared on NBC10 offering his learned opinions on high-profile cases.

Lucas A. Clark, IV, gained the title of “Top Lawyer” in Family Law, where he is known to focus his practice in all areas of family law, as well as all related civil and criminal matters throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Mr. Clark received his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, and he was full-time working member of MMDC law firm throughout his law school career. He has vast courtroom experience in all the Courts of Common Pleas in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as being a recognized member of the Delaware County Bar Association and former Chairperson of its Family Law Section.
